In less than two weeks DreamHack Open returns with the fourth competition of the year, in the Romanian capital Bucharest. Today DreamHack together with EIZO, Logitech G and Kingston HyperX reveal the competitor list and it’s the strongest line-up in DreamHack StarCraft II history!

DreamHack Open Bucharest 14-15 September is around the corner and thousands of spectators are expected to the new venue of the year: Sala Polivalenta. It’s 175 000 SEK (~$26,500) at stake and 4 spots for the DreamHack Open Grand Finals at DreamHack Winter 2013. Also, DreamHack is very proud to team up with Blizzard Entertainment and offer important WCS Points in race of becoming the next StarCraft II Global Champion at BlizzCon later this year. WELCOME TO BUCHAREST

DreamHack Open Bucharest will have the strongest competitor list at any DreamHack StarCraft II event ever. Returning Champions combined with hungry European players and some new faces to the DreamHack Stage. The DreamHack Open Valencia Champion Quantic Gaming HyuN is returning once again to DreamHack Open and is eager to claim another Championship. Also the DreamHack Open Summer Champion mYinsanity StarDust is hunting his second DreamHack Open title, after he fell short in the semi final at Valencia.The last year DreamHack Open Bucharest Team Acer Team Acer Nerchio will do his best to defend his title this year.

DreamHack are very pleased and happy to announce that the Ultimate Weapon Flash from KT Rolster will for the first time come to compete in Europe and fight for the DreamHack Championship. He is one of the most successful StarCraft BroodWar player in the history and referred to as the ‘God’ and one of the owners of a Golden Mouse (3 OSL wins) and the Golden Badge (3 MSL wins). At Bucharest Woongjin Stars sOs will be a strong contender for the Championship, with very strong performance in the WCS 2013. We’re very thrilled to finally have two KeSPA players in the line-up.

Considered as the best player in the World this year DreamHack welcomes Team Acer INnoVation who has very impressive results this year winning WCS Season 1 Finals, second place at WCS KR Season 1, top 4 at WCS Kr Season 2 and a top 3 finisher at MLG Winter Championship. Also for the first time at the DreamHack stage Team Acer MMA will fight for the Championship. He is a GSL Code S Champion and Blizzard Cup 2011 Champion among the greatest achievements latest a top 4 finish of WCS EU Season 2.

For this DreamHack Open the well reknown and highly skilled team Axiom will have a strong presence with totally four players attending Ryung, Alicia, Crank and Heart. The Axiom players have several great achievements and the team finished at 3rd place in last GSTL Season. You will find the full competitor list at the bottom of this page.

SC2L

Also at DreamHack Bucharest the Grand Finals of SC2L will take place on Saturday evening on the 14th. The tournament has reached the playoffs where the two teams for the final will be decided. All players from each team will also participate in the DreamHack Open and will be added to the competitor list when the SC2L finalists have been decided. Read more about SC2L here.
