DreamHack is proud to announce the return of the NESCAFÉ 3in1 Hearthstone®: Heroes of Warcraft™ tournament, which will be hosted at DreamHack Masters Bucharest 2014 on October 31 to November 2. This marks the second edition of the tournament, following Petar “Gaara” Stevanovic’s victory in the inaugural event at DreamHack Bucharest 2014, in front of a full house at Sala Polivalentă, on April 26 – 27.

Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft, Blizzard Entertainment’s popular digital card game released earlier this year, has already established itself as a firm favorite among players and spectators alike, and recently surpassed 20 million players worldwide.

The NESCAFÉ 3in1 Hearthstone tournament welcomes both casual and pro players, featuring 64 slots open to anyone who wishes to participate. Any DreamHack Masters Bucharest attendee can join in the fun by purchasing a Hearthstone Player Ticket, which gives the chance to fight for a share of the 10,000 USD prize pool!

Registered players will travel to Sala Polivalentă in Bucharest, Romania to compete in a GSL, best of 3 group stage, until only eight are left standing.

Those eight qualifying players will then test their skills against eight of the best players in the world, directly invited in the tournament, for a spot in the final phase: a single-elimination, best of 5 gauntlet, where there won’t be any second chances.

Both casual and pro players alike will be battling for a share of the 10,000 USD prize pool as follows:

  • 1st place – 4,000 USD;
  • 2nd place – 2,000 USD;
  • 3rd & 4th place – 1,000 USD each;
  • 5th to 8th place – 500 USD each;

The NESCAFÉ 3in1 Hearthstone tournament will be streamed exclusively on www.viagame.com and the caster team that will take us through all the strategies and decks used by the players will include some familiar faces from DreamHack Bucharest 2014:

  • Marcin “Gnimsh” Filipowicz – Cloud9 Hearthstone player and IEM Season VIII World Champion
  • Tudor “ptz” Pițigoi – PGL Hearthstone shoutcaster

Among the players who will attend the tournament are: DeamHack Summer 2014 Champion Radu “Rdu” Dima (Meet Your Makers), DreamHack Bucharest 2014 Champion Petar “Gaara” Stevanovic (Tempo Storm), HearthStats League Invitational Champion Jan “Ek0p” Palys (Cloud9), Bertil “Frezzar” Fall (Fnatic) and Jakub “Lothar” Szygulski (Planetkey Dynamics).
